NEWTEC's ethos is based on the belief that everyone trained, employed or cared for at NEWTEC has a right to equality of opportunities. •    Ensure that all staff are trained in equality and diversity and on any future related legislation

In relation to the above, NEWTEC will identify and deal with:
•    The impact of discrimination on an individual and the organisation;
•    Raise awareness of the need for the individual and the organisation to respect individuality and celebrate differences;
•    Identify the presence of practical and communication barriers to equality and diversity in the organisation and take steps to overcome these barriers;
•    Appreciate and use the current legislation for supporting equality and diversity in the work place.
