This course is designed for those working with children age 0-19 years in Childcare and Health and Social Care settings.

There is a choice of pathways assessed through assignments, a portfolio, and observations in a workplace setting.

 WORK PLACEMENT

CACHE recommends approximately 400 hours in a setting- minimum of 2 days each week, working with children in a working environment.

QUALIFICATION (on successful completion)

CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce

FUTURE OPTIONS and JOB ROLES

You may go on to complete an Early Years Foundation Degree; or find employment in one of the following roles:

• Children’s Centre, Day nursery or school personnel

• Youth Worker

• Childminder, Nanny or playgroup worker

Supervisor or Manager

This course is open to people who are working or aspiring to work in a professional management environment.  Experience is not essential.

DAY and TIME: Classes: 1 day per week - 9.30am-4.00pm

Monthly assessments and regular tutorials

Private Study for 6 hrs each week

DURATION:     46 weeks

Expected Learning Hours total: 650
