This course is mainly designed for people who are already in a supervisory role in a            pre-school, playgroup or nursery setting.  The course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and understanding to sustain competent performance.

COURSE UNITS

You need to complete 3 mandatory units, 1 optional unit, and 360 hours of work placement. Literacy and Numeracy sessions may be embedded in the course structure if required.

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-School Practice

FUTURE OPTIONS AND JOB ROLES

After you have achieved the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-School Practice you could work towards the NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development or you could progress to a related Level 4 qualification.  


You must be at least 16 years old at the date of registration and you must be working with children in a pre-school setting either as a volunteer or in paid employment.

CACHE recommends that you have completed the Level 2 Certificate in Pre-School Practice (or a relevant Level 2 qualification).

 

You will also need to complete a CRB Disclosure to confirm that you have no criminal convictions that would prevent you from working with children.


DAYS and DURATION:

Either 2½ days per week for 19 weeks, or

1 day per week for 36 weeks

 

TIME: Usually 9.30am-3.30pm
