WORK PLACEMENT
OCR requires a minimum of 600 hours in a setting. NEWTEC staff can help you to arrange your placement.
QUALIFICATION (on successful completion)
Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) (QCF)
FUTURE OPTIONS and JOB ROLES
You may go on to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (adults); or find employment in one of the following roles:
- Care home/nursing home
- Day centre
- Domiciliary
Care agency
Level 1 Health & Social Care qualification or relevant experience;
Level 1 Literacy/English and Entry L3 Numeracy/Math
You will also need to complete a CRB Disclosure to confirm that you have no criminal convictions that would prevent you from working with children.
DAY and TIME: 1 day per week
9.30am-4.00pm
DURATION: 40 weeks
