This qualification is designed for those working with adults in a Health & Social Care setting. It is assessed through assignments, a portfolio, and observations in a workplace setting.

Pathway 1 – Generic Health & Social Care

Pathway 2 – Dementia

Pathway 3 – Learning Disability

WORK PLACEMENT

OCR recommends approximately 600 hours in a setting- minimum of 2 days each week, working with adults in real work environments.

QUALIFICATION (on successful completion)

Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Adults) (QCF)

FUTURE OPTIONS and JOB ROLES

You may go on to complete a level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care; or find employment in one of the following roles:

• Care Home

• Domiciliary

• Hospital

• Day centre

• Supervisor or Senior Carer

Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification or relevant experience;

Level 1 Literacy/English and Entry L3 Numeracy/Math

There will be a review during the induction period to ensure that the course is appropriate for you.

You will also need to complete a CRB Disclosure to confirm that you have no criminal convictions that would prevent you from working with children.

DAY and TIME: 1 day per week

9.30am-4.00pm

DURATION:     40 weeks

Expected Guided Learning Hours total: 300
