You Said, We Did…’ is a communication tool to inform of the changes NEWTEC has made as a result of Parents’ comments and suggestions.

Questionnaires were sent out to all parents of the nursery/crèche on the 8th December 2010,

This is a summary of their concerns and our actions.

You Said	We Did
Upgrade for nurseries in appearance and more displays	Painted the pre-school, sensory and sleep rooms. The rest of the nursery is scheduled to be painted. All room have displays relating to the 6 areas of development in the EYFS.
More education to be taught within nurseries	All children have individual learning journeys which relate directly to the planning, clearly defining the progress each child is making.
Earlier start times for nurseries	Only two parents wanted this service, will review at a later date.
More structured teaching for pre-school children	Individual learning journeys for all children. Activities tailored to children’s stage of development.
Better communication between staff and parents	Communication books in all rooms.
Improved communication and further information regarding curriculum	Sign posting in all rooms with information for parents. Parents evening to be arranged once the revised EYFS has been launched.
