The communication with employers, particularly with regard to learner progress, which could be more frequent and effective. |
Assessors communicate with employers prior to, during and/or following learner observations in the workplace. Employers are involved in progress reviews. The assessor liaise with employers if learners are behind and reinforce the importance of staff attending workshops, submitting assignments or making good progress. The assessor update the employer with what the learners is still required to do such as appraisal. Etc. A Placement Advisor observes VQ learners in the workplace, shares observation reports with work-place supervisors and/or managers and shares employer feedback with teachers to improve learner performance in the workplace. |

Learners and employers receive a handbook and induction which includes details of NVQ programme requirements. Assessors communicate with employers to ensure suitable workplace activities are planned. First visit to employer, explains the employer process and the requirement of NVQ. Employer interactions each visit with person of higher level to the learner to report progress and outstanding areas of the programme. |
